Just the new girl saying "Hi!"
I am the proud new owner of a 1997 1500 and I figured I'd join this forum in case I ned some help. I don't know much about this truck's past, and want it to last the way only a good Dodge can.
This is my first full-sized truck, and my first actual Dodge. (The first 2 were Ram50s and the only thing Dodge about them were the emblems, but they were good little trucks)
The PO spent some time on the suspension and exhaust, but I know it'll take much more to get it where I want it to be. I figured this place would give me some good ideas on how to get this done cost effectively (read: cheap) and still have a good end product.
About me: I'm a 26 year-old married (separated), vehicle enthusiast from Nevada. I was born in the desert and am more comfortable in dirt than on pavement. I have had a love affair with cars as long as I can remember, and was raised in an A.B.C. household. I'm familiar with Fords, because that's what we had growing up, but have always loved Dodge trucks. I'm not a girly-girl; I shoot, off-road, get dirty, and can hang with the guys, but my pink hair would suggest otherwise. I can't wait to get started on this project and meet some of you. Thanks for the welcome

None in the 2ng gen Ram section that I am aware of. Good group of guys though. If you havn't already, make a thread in that section to introduce yourself. Be sure and read the plenum sticky. Known problem with these trucks and if not corrected can lead to a whole slew of other more expensive problems. Glad to have you on board.
