4wd adjustment

i have a 96 ram 1500 i dont know the 4wd shift pattern. and im pretty sure its out of adjustment can anyone tell me the pattern and what a good way to adjust the shifter

2Hi is all the way forward, next notch back is 4Hi, then neutral, then 4Lo. Unless of course, someone changed the t-case, with a 98 or newer at some point.....

Then it gets more interesting. You can download the 96 service manual from this thread. Adjustment procedure is in there. If you have more questions, cruise on down to the 2nd gen ram section. LOTS of helpful folks there.
