I just traded in my 2008 MKV R32 for a 2017 Durango RT Granite with red leather with the Blacktop package, technology group, rear DVD, trailer package, sunroof, roof rails, and all season performance tires. Basically the dealer checked all the options when ordering the vehicle and then it sat on their lot for awhile. I originally was looking at a black one and was going to keep the R32 but we (wife) really just couldn't justify having three cars. So with trading in the R32 we were able to look at more optioned out vehicles. It has under 150 miles and will be used as my daily driver. I have a 5yo and 7yo boy and they love climbing around inside and having their own windows to operate. I coach both of them in soccer and baseball so switching gear out everyday was becoming a pain and in general I wanted something big. I drove an Arcadia, blah, and looked at Highlanders, Pathfinders, and Santa Fe's. None compare to the Durango. They are perfectly fine for what they are, boring soccer mom vehicles. The Durango ticks all the boxes but has much more presence.

I am sad to give up the R32. Bought it new 9 years ago without a hiccup. Just routine maintenance. It really was a perfect car. But time to get something BIG!
