Default Greetings and Aloha!

Hey all!
I am an original member of Stratusphere. Back in the day I had a 98 Stratus ES (deep amethyst). Bought it in Hawaii when I was stationed there in the Navy. When I transferred to Virginia, the Gecko car (that is what we called her) came with us. I loved that car! sadly my ex's cousin drove it to the ground.
Back in 2010 I became a Dodge driver again when I purchased a 97 Dakota Club (V6 auto RWD). It's body suffered from surface rust from the typical bad paint from that era. It had 96k miles and I drove it up to Dec 2018 when it decided it didn't want to play any more with 247k on the clock! She will still start, but she is NOT happy when you wake her up. I am going to pull the good stuff off her (new alternator, radiator, Hugh's lower plenum, tow hitch, stereo, brush guard to name a few things I want to save) and junk the carcass. I am looking for another to replace her in the near future.
But in the meantime, I just bought a 2002 Neon SXT mechanics special with 160k miles. She needs a little TLC. (water pump, a tierod, and the ignition switch are the urgent things on the list) But it is nothing I can't handle. I will be prowling around looking at the things I will be needing to fix (like the leaking trunk and the stereo) and things I will be looking to upgrade. (like +0 on the tires and eventually bigger tires with suspension upgrades). So, I am just saying Hi for now!

It is not an "Interstate" It is the H1 H2 and the H3 highways.... what makes it weird is that they use the existing Interstate shield signage. The reason for that is so they can get federally funded.

Thanks for sharing.

Normally you would start your own introduction thread instead of hijacking someone elses....lol
