I was wondering if any one who wants to set up a NY meet would be interested in meeting at the Spring Dust Off show in Rhinebeck NY (Dutchess County fairgrounds) May 2,3,& 4th?? My wife and I go every year we work the show, parking show cars, and working the registration table on Sat for about 2 or 3 hours in the morning, and I judge the show cars on Sunday afternoon. If this sounds good let me know, if you just want to come by and say hi we stay at a friends vendor spot behind the restaurant near the fence by RTE 9.

So far patman0323 and stevosrt has shown intrest, as we get get closer to the date preferably the Thursday before, I wont be near a computer untill I return from the show. A buddy of mine lets me park at hisvendor spot and put some of my stuff to sell on his table, in return my family brings lunch we usually grill some burgers and dogs, food is exspensive there so I'll need the head count to know how much extra food to bring, or feel free to bring something you'd like for the grill.
Its looking good so far for our NY meet.
I just heard back from Altair hes interested too.

 

whats the parking situation up there?

 

I just PMed Patman and told him to get there about 8 or 8:30 other wise youll be sitting for an eternity in traffic. Parking is in a huge field again if you get there at the time I mentioned you should be able to get a spot close to the gate, as for a charge I dont know being we park in a friends vendor spot and work the show for a couple of hours we never had to park outside.
As of now Patman and his fiance are coming.

 

Traffic usually isn't too bad getting in, getting out is the issue, I live right across the river from there

 

Why dont you join us?? There are only two others able to make it so all together there will 3 DF members and their significant others. My wife and I have been going for the past 8 years and we work the gate and parking and people have come to us telling their horror stories of waiting in traffic to get in. As for getting out I never really found it to be too bad, the police do a pretty good job at controlling things.

 

My other will only go to 1 car event per month and shes going on the 10th to a CT meet haha...so it will just be boring old Stevo!

 

I may make it, it depends if i get called in (On call this weekend) and what my other half wants to do

 

im on call this weekend and working too!...just stop on by for "lunch" hahahaha

 

i should be there at some point after 8:30...hour and a half drive is a little much in the morning to get there any sooner haha
