I am trying to figure out if this guys truck is factory.

Need to figure out model, year etc.

its a 1994-2001 dodge ram 1500-3500.

 

Help him a little more than that...
you can cut out the 3500's, its not a dually.
Looks like plastic mirrors from the vid? 98-01 1500, 98-02 2500
If not plastic mirrors then truck is 94-97 1500/2500

If you can get a clearer vid, it will be easier to identify other specifics. Rims will be a good indicator of 1500 or 2500. Confirming the mirrors cuts out a few years etc. Wish ya luck

Now wait a damn minute... please tell me with this video you called the police and had them pull the finger prints off your car when he touched it right on the hood? You have the proof, you have the prints. Whats the hold up?

Well the police apparently only take finger prints on tv shows.

His hand and finger prints are visable on the fender.

I think he will be caught on Monday morning when he is going to work.

The truck color is actually purple. It does not have a step and tow bumper. The bumper is molded.

I was thinking this was some sort of special edition. Because of the stripes and rear bumper. The tailgate has a wide stripe in the center.

It probably isn't standard procedure to pull prints on a hit and run because most times they just do that. Hit your car, and run. At least in your case they actually touched the car so it may have been an oversight. Well see what happens monday, if they don't find him... insist that they pull the finger prints. Show the police on the video where he touched the car (I think he did twice).

That is what is called a "roll pan". It is after market


The stripes are after market (either painted or decal). There were some trucks who came with stripes, but not like that. At least you have a few things to pick out specifically if you see it again. No offense to you, but I wouldn't get your hopes up that you see the truck on monday.

 

They do make 3500s with the dully... So it could be a 3500. I really hope you catch the guy.

 

I am well aware that they make 3500's that are dually's. The video is of a truck that is not a dually. If you are trying to say that a second gen 3500 comes without a dually setup stock, find me one.
