RE: Chrysler 300C SRT-8 Killer? New STS-V!
Wrong on a couple things there. The CTS-V had the 5.7L LS6 under the hood. That LS6 V8 high-performance engine delivers 400 hp at 6000 rpm and 395 lb.-ft. of torque at 4800 rpm.
Car comes with 14 inch Brembo brakes, and a Tremec six-speed manual transmission, and IS a true performance car.
The CTS-V will give the 300C some problems.

Horsepower wars are a good thing.
Has anyone else noticed how many "performance" cars/trucks have to have forced induction to compete with the Mopars? That means that we Mopar owners still have the option to install a power adder. The others have already cashed in that chip.

The CTS-V doesn't have forced induction.

BTW, I got my new Motor Trend on Friday. The 300C SRT-8 held it's own quite well with the smaller and lighter cars in their comparison. The bottom line is that there are a lot of interesting and exciting cars coming from many different manufacturers. Like I said before, "Horsepower wars are a good thing."
