Ford Escape rumor

Ford anouced yesterday that the 5.4L 3v Triton V-8 will go in to the Ford Escape. Reporters are saying that this will be the end of jeep because of the V8 option.

Ha ha ha ha ha! Thats a good one! LOL.
I have a question for you all . My friend says that ford escapes are built on car frames. True? If so, it doesnt surprise me.

I think it meant Explorer. The 5.4L wouldn't fit into the Escape.

Hasn't the Explorer always offered the V8 and still no one buys it?

The Escape has it's own frame. It's the same as the Mazda tribute. They have shoved a 302 5.0L in prototype Escapes as well as Focuses. It doesn't not have the same frame as the Ford 500. The Explorer and Mountaineer have the 4.6L V-8 in it as an option and the standard V-6 4.0L Standard. The 5.4L V-8 Triton is reserved for the heavier vehicles that require the power to tow. The escape was technically produced for teens. That's why in the comercials always have a dude driving.
