2007 Silverado Spied
From Car And Driver:
Chevrolet introduced its 2007 Tahoe, Suburban, and Avalanche earlier this year, but the company still hasn’t shown us its latest conventional pickup, the Silverado. Our spy photographers nabbed these shots of the 2007 Silverado while it was being prepped for a commercial. Although its styling isn’t as bold or dramatic as some might have hoped, it’s evocative of the 2003 Chevrolet Cheyenne concept—both have stacked headlights. We don’t know if the Cheyenne’s innovative bed-side access panels, storage drawers, or under-floor bins will make it to production. The Silverado’s platform-mate, the GMC Sierra, will share most of the sheetmetal seen here but will have its own front-end styling and taillights. Both are based on the GMT900 platform first seen on the 2007 Chevy Tahoe. The platform is a heavily revised (or all-new, depending on which GM flack is spinning it) version of the outgoing SUV and truck platform. Although the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks were originally scheduled to arrive as 2008 models, GM has been working feverishly to bring them out as 2007s. Our sources indicate that old-style trucks will still be sold as 2007 models, but the new truck seen here will replace them by late fall or winter. The Chevy Silverado is GM’s bestselling vehicle and the second-bestselling vehicle in the U.S. To say there’s a lot riding on this model is an understatement. The improvements we’ve seen in Chevrolet’s Tahoe, Suburban, and Avalanche bode well for this pickup. We look forward to a comparison test later this year pitting the Silverado against the three-year-old Ford F-150 and redesigned Toyota Tundra. RE: 2007 Silverado Spied
I like it. I'm sure a version with body colored grill and bumper will be available, and with the new 403 HP 6.2 and 6 speed auto it should move pretty well. The new heavy Escalades do 0-60 in 6.3 seconds and 1/4 miles in the mid 14s with that engine and transmission, a standard cab should be more than a second faster.

Back to the 80's with a new paint job gay look again.
It looks heavy, and the wheels are small GM needs to fire its executives and slaughter all their designers. What horrible vehicles |

RE: 2007 Silverado Spied
If that had a Ram logo on it, that would be one good lookin' truck. The Chevy bowtie makes it ugly. Someone quick photochop a Dodge Ram logo onto it!!

RE: 2007 Silverado Spied
I wouldn't disgrace the ram logo by placing it on thet ugly sucker. When is chevy going to get it. I work at a GM dealership (hey money is great) and I see all of the new GMT900. Interiors are great but they look more like bricks than the out going models.
