What kind of ride are you talking about? I have a 98 Durango and I am squeezing in 32 inch BFGoodrich M/T's. I have some rubbing going on.

35s rub bad

33s rub on the back section of the plastic wheel well but only when you are in a tight turn or flexing over rocks. I used a sawz-all on the front half of the plastic and the that elimintaed the problem.

Also 15 inch steel rims will fit, aluminum will not without shaving the calipers 1/4 inch.

I am currenty running Extreme Alloy 15 X 10 rims with 33" Pro-comp Mud terrains. Outstanding offroad tire in all except snow of course. I Also have a set of TSL 34.5 X 10 swampers stuffed onto a set of 15X8 steel wheels. They are like cookie cutters and are good for "Cholctale Milk" Mud racing.

What size of tire will fix into a 2002 Ram 1500 Quad cab without any modifications?

I just put a 33x12.5x17 on my 2004 1500 Ram Hemi. All I did was tighten up the torsion bars to give a little more clearance. And I'm running the stock 17 inch rim. No rubbing, unless your blasting in a parking lot about 50 miles an hour. Also tightening up my torsion bars didn't change the ride at all. Brought the front up about 1.5". But 35's forget about it. Unless you have about a 4" inch lift.
