Its snowing here, then sleeting (but more like small hail pellets)... then we kept hearing thunder rubmle. WTF??? I have never in my life heard thunder during a snowstorm.
All i can find its its some atmospheric thing thats higher up. same concept as summer i guess

I have witnessed this in person. You need a strange warm day with a fast cold front behind it to change it all to snow. Sort of cool.

It is "warm" here today for NW Ohio, almost 50 so I am headed out to wash the Hemi and finally the Viper so I can put it away for the winter.

I grew up in upstate NY and can remember having seen it on only two occasions. Very rare...

when i was in line for the Wii last sunday during that terrible snow storm, around 430am there were several lightning flashes followed by LOUD thunder. it was made that much more unreal by the fact that there was so much snow, and no traffic at was the first i had ever seen of weather like that.
