Lilmsram if you have an amateur license you do not have to retake the test. The reason we have to take test to operate ham radio is because the government tells us to just like they tell us to take a driving test. There are more reasons but, it would take days to go into that.

The radio I had was owned by an ex, so when I left... *sigh* I'd like to get another radio, but like I said, got other priorities...but yeah, I liked it. Oh, yeah, signed up on the site. Pretty cool. Another forum to take up my time...lol!

I must say"I was surprised to see you were a ham". When I saw your website I thought about asking for help on mine(better at radio than computers). As we know ham radio is for anyone with an interest male, female, young, old,or whatever. I understand about the priorities because I have just gotten back active after about a 7yr absence.
Bottom line ......nice to know there is anouther ham on DF other than me

My site isn't anything too spectacular, it's just a simple AOL Hometown site. They make it very easy to create something that looks decent. Just sign up, but think you will have to have an AOL or AIM sign-in. Yeah, I was surprised to see this thread pop-up, hopefully there are more ham radio owners on here...
