Default Anybody know anything about Nissan Altimas?

I just bought a 1997 Altima that had a broken exhaust cam (thought I`d fix it and sell it). The lady already had the new parts and threw them in with the car. So I put in a new timing chain, put in the cams, new distributor, timed everything, and it won`t start. I have double and triple checked everything. It floods really badly. If I unhook the fuel pump and blow the gas out of it, it will kind of sputter. But I can`t get it to run. I am at my wits end with this thing. Does anyone here know anything about these cars?

I have learned that too much ether can set the air filter on fire.

you replaced it with a NEW distributor and not just replacing the cap? I was working on my old friends Altima trying to get it to run and I first replaced the spark plugs and the air filter and was able to get it to start but only for a few minutes before oil would find its way onto the distributor. I guess thats a very common problem on the 90s Altima's. When I asked an old class mate of mine that worked at a Nissan dealership he suggested spraying brake cleaner around the distributor and inside of it. I never made it back to actually try that though do to her dad hating me... but Anyways lol. just a thought.
