growing up, my parents always had at least one motorhome (they rented them as a business), so thats as "camping" as i get. sleeping on the ground is for wild animals. when i go to bed, im comfortable. if its not comfortable, i could just sleep in my ram front seats laid back...

Yaaaawwwwwn...oh wait what'd I miss? A crate 426 in a Challenger is flat out wicked. But a paint job to make it look like it could use its' diaper changed is flat out stupid. I know SEMA is just a chance for automakers to show off what can be done to their cars, but those 4 vehicles are snoozers. Hopefully it picks up before the show rolls around. Why the hell aren't they making a Charger "SS"? Along the lines of the 93-96 Impala SS. Lower the suspension, boost the output on the 6.1L Hemi and put the stiff police suspension under it and have a console Hurst shifter. I guess showing something that people would AND could buy would actually attract some buyers and that doesn't seem to fit with Chryslers plans right now.

there is no place for an SS badge on a charger, or any other mopar. SS is a GM designation...it would be like a Camaro R/T.

one of the reasons that they dont display more cars that people can/would actually buy, is that SEMA isnt open to the public. its not supposed to be a car show with a bunch of useless lookie-lous kicking tires and getting in the way. its supposed to be industry and media only, but too many general public have found ways to get in (not counting friday). last year, there were kids there, and they should not, by any means, be in there.

SS was in ""-as in "a like manner". The Impala SS was a SEMA show car. Several manufacturers have used SEMA to show "what if" cars to gauge reaction for possible production.

oh..gotcha. well, for what its worth, they had a few models that have/could see production...such as the Viper V10 powered challenger, and the ram rt concept...i really liked that one.

I LOVE that Overland, it's freaking sexy.

However, that Lower Forty is the dumbest thing I've seen in awhile. Who's idea was this to add 40" tires without a lift? You literally have almost no suspension articulation. It's no different than the morons that add a budget boost to their Jeeps, hack the shiv out of the fenders, and put 35's on it with uber amounts of bump stop.

It may not be built for extreme articulation, but it's definitely got a serious lift on it. It's not as noticeable because of the low roofline, but it's also articulated some in the first picture.

I think the big problem with producing it is that people are going to buy it. Then most of the people that buy it are going to drive it on the street, then a few thousand miles later they're going to find out how much a 40" tire costs to replace. lol I just looked, just one of those tires (Mickey baja claw 40X13.50R20LT) is about $450.

technically, it doesnt have any lift to it...its on stock suspension. all they did was make those huge tires fit by cutting the body away.
