Default Got myself an SVT today

I haven't taken any pictures of her yet, but sure is fun to drive. I went over to the ford forum(ib), and they I'm not even sure anyone there has one lol, I did a forum search for the word SVT and it returned no posts lol. BTW it's not a lightning or cobra lol, just a contour, but 195bhp in a contour is a hell of a kick in the seat. I knew SVT was limited production, but they only made 1600 or so of my car. When I read up on the differences between the SVT and a regular 2.5, it seems like the next step for an improvement would have to be boost or juice. But I don't want to hurt it. It already came with aggresive cams(my first 4 cam car ), bigger tp, ported intake manifold, higher compression(10:1, which would not like boost or juice probably), lightened flywheel etc.

Looks exactly like this one

they all look exactly like that one...ha!

you bought a modded car from a dealership? ive known a few people who have owned them, and they liked them...as contours go, i think that theyre good looking, and pretty quick for what it is.

did they provide specs, brands, etc on the mods? higher compression means that the engine has been completely apart...

No no, it's not modded, it's just that when SVT redid the 2.5, they did all that stuff that you'd think to do to improve performance.

Check out svtperformance.com. It's an SVT forum that has a section for the Contour. There are some owners over there as well. It's mainly a Lightning/Cobra place though.

I drove one of those last summer, I remember chuckling when I seen the SVT badge, then I drove it, pretty peppy for "family sedan". I was impressed! Good luck with her.
