Default What music will we still be listening to 20-50 years from now?

The thread on iconic cars got me thinking, what music groups / performers from the 20th 21st century will stand the test of time. Here are my pics and why.

The Beatles- They have been an influence to many musicians.

Elvis - Even 33 years after his death he is still making money

Micheal Jackson- His music has touched so many (I know this statement just opened the door for one liners) and after his death a lot of people rediscovered his music.

The Rolling Stones- They are one of the only groups from The British Invasion era to still be recording and touring today.

I would add Led Zeppelin, Tool, Pink Floyd, Metallica, and Red Hot Chili Peppers to that list.

I agree with all except Metalica (never been a big fan). I would add the Doors to the list.
