Default Anyone know anything about Ford's?

Alright, this problem is on a 99 ford expedition 4x4. When I turn the wheel I get this loud squelching/squeeling noise. It sounds almost as if I had really bad springs but it only happens when I turn the wheel. I let the expedition sit since friday and this just started happening tuesday. Putting power steering fluid in did not help. I googled and looked at ford forums (which are garbage btw) and couldn't find any answer's so i'm gonna try my luck here. I can't imagine the steering being that much different.

Sounds like a tie rod, try getting under there with a grease gun and grease the fittings where the joints are.

The famous Ford power steering pump! Every Ford I've been in has a noisy power steering pump. Try flushing the pump and refilling it with ATF. It works just as well as power steering fluid, but can sometimes help with the noise.

www.ford-trucks.com is the best Ford truck forum on the web. Sounds like you need ball-joints to me. Common problem.

I've gotten the same kind of help at fordforum as I get here.
