Well I ordered the VXL3s "extreme" brushless set up. It has the waterproof ESC and Velineon 3500 motor. Also ordered RPM front and rear bearing carriers and DuraTrax bearings. Should be here next week. It will go faster as is but I can run Lipo batteries and be even faster.

Id like to get one but im leaning more towards the gas powered ones, i just dont like electric for at least those types of use, used to have an electric monster truck one years ago but the electrical system went all to hell probably because of getting shorted out

I had a gas car once. Wrecked the first day I had it. It was a RTR out of the box, so all I had to do was charge the plug, gas her up, then tune her out. I just could not get it right. My throttle ended up getting stuck and smashed at full speed into a concrete wall.

The only good thing was that it wasn't my money that I spent to buy it. My friend bought me one when he bought his. He killed his car the same way.

The only thing that I see better in the gas area is the length of time that the car/truck can be ran. I mean you can take a gallon of gas and run all day where as the battery you have to keep swapping out every 15 to 20 minutes. The down side to the gas is the that the fuel is like $25 a gallon!!!!

I'll see your 3 stampedes and raise ya 2 T-Maxx's

I fackin lovvvvve these things! holy crap they get expensive though, I have over $2000 into my 2 trucks now.

I run 20%nitro Backyard Basher fuel in them, at ~$40 a gallon....

This is my first one, T-maxx 2.5 with a TRX 3.3 engine, new body, and a few mods...

This thing here is absolutely retarded! Heavily modified, all aluminum chassis, RPM arms (unbreakable) Picco .26 Max engine with Sirio tuned pipe, Futaba radio with Hitec servos.... I don't think there's any stock parts left on it lol

and ya, the wheelie bar is required... it wheelies with a blip of throttle, and will dance down the road wide open on the rear wheels

The other one is no slouch, however, and will wheelie just as easily. Notice the difference in the shape of the bodies, no wheelie bar = on its lid a LOT lol

Got flex?

my kids love the trucks.... they are alot older now, this pic was from about 2 years ago lol

little action...

and now jumpin over my daughter haha....

FYI the smaller motor, the 3.3, is 3.3 cubic cm, or 0.15 cubic inch, around 2hp
the big one is 4.6 cc, 0.26 ci, about 3 hp

sweet! In the pic with your daughter holding that thing makes it look huge. I hear ya on the expensive. I just spent like $200 on the **** I ordered. I got more I'd like to buy but damn. You need some vids of them suckers

I was on Tower Hobbies site today and found this http://www.towerhobbies.com/products/towc03.html

Not bad for a nitro truck. Maybe someday I'll buy one lol

I got a couple old videos somewheres, I'll try to look them up.... I think that Tower Terror is a pretty good buy, they're quite tough, and a new tmaxx or savage or revo etc is gonna run ya 500 at least, and up.

you should check out www.rcuniverse.com , really good site, and they have a really good forum like good ol DF I think my forum name is Nason over there, haven't been there lately

also, ww.beatyourtruck.com has a **** ton of cool bashing videos, might wanna check that out too

My t-maxx with new airbrushed silverado body, rdy to go out.

Tmaxx with airbrushed silverado body, after going out to play

Sexy new airbrushed bodies for the tmaxx
In order left - right: 3rd gen ram, silverado, silverado HD, '57 chevy

Tmaxx driving up over the top of my electric slash

Check out my couple of vid's of the tmaxx and slash in action
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIVvM1Iitd4 - Tmaxx + slash

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHJpe42_jek - slash jumping the liv. room

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6BhqN-emvo - tmaxx doin a few backflips

Oh, and not to advertise or nothin, cause im not sure of the policies in this forum, but that electric slash body says "itswar.net" on the side of it. Its a text based war game, that i've been playin about 3 yrs. check it out.
