Default Thought this would be a funny read.

Right now there is a thread going on in the Stratus section of the site on what kind of car the stratus is. Well Id thought Id post what I had said about a buddys Stratus. I just thought you all could use a chuckle.

You cant kill a stratus thats for damn shure.

A buddy of mine had a 95 Stratus, bought it in perfect condition and destroyed it in a span of a year, this car became our teenage monster truck. Heres a list of **** that happened to the car before it finally got sent to the salvage yard at 210 thousand miles and the car still ran, horribly but when you read what we did to it its quite a feat, and my friend bought it at 100 thousand.

Driven into numerous concrete barriers.

Had the air intake taken off at about 110 thousand miles with no air filter to speak of, mind you we never corrected this.

Taken "off roading"

Taken off whole exhaust system.

At 130 thousand miles we put the new alternator in incorectly (on purpose mind you). The car still ran off that thing.

Was driven through 3 1/2ft of standing water one drunken night, car forged it and still ran.

At 140 thousand miles we spent a week trying to fry the transmission. We managed to make it so the car would not leave second gear and you had to manually shift from first to second and so on.

At 145 after we fried the tranny we took two of the plug wires out and the car still performed "flawlessly".

Crused down many freeways at about 70 mph with the car bounching off the rev limiter in second gear.

Numerous neutral drops to "race" Mustangs, Trans Ams, Camaros, M5's and 3's even the accasional Ferrari, I promis you the stratus was a monster .

Numerous hits to the engine block with ball ping hammers.

I could go on but I think you all get the jist of what kind of car the 2.4L stratus is.

Yeah my wife would **** a brick if she saw how I drive her stratus.
Boy that thing gets off the line fast. Not much for passing on the highway tho.

What kind of car is it? Most of the owners I have seen are 30 - 40 something year old femmes.
I call it the woman's "mid life crisis mobile".

We won't get into the jokes she makes about my 99 lesabre aside this -
"Hey look, that old lady wants you! she likes your car!"

Hers is a 2001. It is good to know that it will not die anytime soon.
