Default May Be "Losing" My Daughter......

I saw it coming, my 25 year old daughter was stopping by and using my computer to send/receive too many e-mails. She had made a trip out to the west coast earlier this year and had a pic of a Navy guy posted on her Myspace.........now, his ship has docked in San Diego, CA and he drove straight thru the night to get here to San Antonio to be with her.

Now she wants my parents and myself to meet with them next week at nice restaurant.....this is the classic "set up", I know. It will be a "kodak moment" .....I WILL TAKE PICS of this guy and MGDMike, you need to screen him well for grooming compliance since I don't know what the Navy regulations are............!!!

feel sorry for you, losing your daughter to a fish. but think of it this way, she may get a decent pension out of it if his boat sinks.

I just met him tonight, his name is Richard, he's about 6'4" and 190 pounds. He was a little nervous but took an interest in my WWII German military collection and my guns, so he can't be too bad..... My daughter made an extra effort to stay out of the conversation (which is unusual for her) so I know she's serious about him.

My daughter also told me that my parents had let them "borrow" their car for the day (a Mustang GT convertable)......when my mom introduced my dad to my grandfather back in 1945, he let my dad to-be "borrow" his Caddy.....that was his way of saying "I approve"......My parents are sending the same signal (they know I won't let anyone else drive my SRT-4).

So I guess I have a potential son-in-law now................damn, I feel old!!!!!

So, thats it? Cool thing about the borrowing part though. But what does he do in the Navy?
