RE: Fuel Injector question...
I have found a number of web sites that provide calculators to determine the flow rate for vehicles. However, none of them advise you that the calculated value is the MAXIMUM flow rate. When using them I determined my 2001 Dodge Ram required 28 pound fuel injectors to get all of the horsepower out of the engine (Performance 360 that puts out 350 horsepower).
However, when I put the 28 lb injectors in my truck I found I was over fueled for low end performance (less than 2500 RPM), but I had great power in the 3000 to 4500 RPM range. As I use my truck for towing and not racing, the negative aspects of the new injectors greatly outweighed the positive aspects so I changed them back to the originals.
I still have the set of 8 for which I paid $300 for these from www.fiveomotorsports.com about a month ago. They have approx 700 miles on them. Willing to sacrifice for $150 just to get some of my money back.
