I was simply stating a fact. I like fast cars and would take my truck yo the track whenever I could. I stated that it was not a good practice. Read back to my original post. I stated that I lost a couple good friends to street racers on interstate 75 in Tenneessee. Couple hotshots that thought they knew how to drive. Just so happens that the ones they killed was my best friends son and grandson. The boy was only 7. Shame he won't even get the chance to learn how to drive. I wasn't preaching, God knows that I am no saint. I still hold to the fact that it is bad practice no matter if I have had 5 posts or 500 thousand. Do whatever turns you on. Maybe you will have the chance to run into somebody too.

 

I have to admit that I'm not fan of street races either and would prefer races done on a track...But hey if the streets are clear and its not done in the neighborhoods...then yeah its cool. Although I do feel sorry for your friends lost. I almost got into an accident because some idiots were racing on I-75 in MI just before rush hour. I just hope that people like that learn before they find themselves wrapped around a tree.

96ARC, sorry I even got this crap started. When I read your post it just brought back old memeries. I didn't mean to put you down and the post wasn't meant to put anyone down. If you being safe and looking out for others do whatever you want. I just have done all my racing on the track and it is hard to forget something like what happened. You want to know the sad part, One of the kids were only 17 and one was 19. Really fast cars that mommy and daddy got for them. The 19 year old was the one that cought my friend and his son coming on an on ramp. He and two others died in that car. The other one went to prison for vehicular man slaughter. Seems like they lost all the way around. I don't hold anything against you for what you do, I don't even know you. It's the last I will say about it. Cool?
