Stang 5.0 GT w/n2o vs Ram 5.9 w/sc (vid)
I installed my Procharger in mid September and tuned the MP PCM with an SMT6 piggyback tuner for a couple of weeks. It was causing some issues so I put the stock computer in and bypassed/disabled the SMT6. It got rid of the stall at idle and misfire I had at the track the first time so I decided to return. I would do some tuning with only the fmu and would have the limiter restricting both rpms and mph. I made a couple of passes to check a/f ratio, fuel pressure and how much boost it was making. Things were pretty good so I decided it was time for a full pass. In the lanes I found a 5.0GT with a bottle in the back and MT ET streets on Weld draglite rims and got him lined up.
Figured it would be a good race with me seeing about 7psi at shifts and on the same tire/rim combo (I have 7.5" skinnies upfront also)
Heres the video & timeslip from the race.
I have lots more vids(slower ets) on this page

Thanks, I thought it should run faster as well but a kills a kill & better when its a Ford lol Maybe he had low bottle pressure or a small 50shot Im not sure.
Weather was really an issue that day. Strong headwinds were costing .2 in ets or more. I could feel the gusts slowing me down at the top of the track. Humidity was above 90%. Barometric pressure was ok at 102.0. (just under 30") Good thing was air was cool in the hi 50s. The stock computer was a real factor also with the rpm and mph limits. I had to use overdrive by about 1100' cause it was hitting the rev limiter. MPH topped out going threw the traps as well. Probably another loss of .1 Last thing slowing it down was the weight. I had it in full street trim except for tires/rims. Tailgate on, both race buckets, full stereo and extra gas plus had tools and laptop in the cab as well. I was concerned about traction though it was pretty good. With about 150lbs extra weight it would slowed the truck down by about .1 as well.
Next year with any luck I will have it running much faster. Doubling the boost, forged 408 and reduced race wt to get it back to 4000lbs with driver.

That is a pretty good run with the mods you have. I don't know what the problem was with the Mustang? Certainly not a very worthy challenge on that day! Cool video and nice truck!
