RE: 5.9L R/T vs. Hemi
Just for the record, shortly after I purchased my truck, I raced a tricked out Dakota R/T... He beat me, but not by much... Since then I have upgraded my intake, exhaust, and tires... I also have a Quad Cab 4x4... If I put a superchips on here now, I bet we would have been neck and neck...

RE: 5.9L R/T vs. Hemi
I have a 5.9 R/T, and twice, I raced a regular cab Hemi, with intake, power programmer, and exhaust mods. The first race was a surprise, from about a 45 roll, I pulled him, especially on the top end, once I got into the powerband. Not satisfied, I waited for him at the next light. There was nobody around. I powerbraked it up at the light and let it rip. This time I left him hard, and pulled him harder. Hemi was nice, but not a close match.
PS This was before I added the squeeze...

RE: 5.9L R/T vs. Hemi
I have also raced a bumble bee hemi truck. The one i raced i have no idea what he had done it was a random jock on the road. It was a blue with the hemi decals on the hood and rear end, with exhuast and rims, thats all i could tell. I raced him from a light and it wasnt even a challenge. I thought a hemi would atleast give me some challenge. I even split some rubber on the road before i got going, and i still beat him. To me i just think there to big.
