yeah..its good to have someone with bad taste come in and grace us with the opinion of how the import truck scene is looking...

but in all seriousness..mr titan...have you had your truck on the track? last season there was a hemi durango running against a titan V8...the titan did beat it every run, but the titan wasnt exactly turning in smokin hot times...i think something like 15.20s or so..with the durango running 15.50s-60s.

there is a member here who is running 15.0s with a stock hemi single cab 2wd...with the 17" aluminum rims, which will give the hemi more hop than the big clumpy 20s...and believe me, i know first hand that his truck is stock.

So far, the best times I've seen for the Titan are 15.5 to 15.2, the Ram 1500 SLT Hemi did 15.1 to 14.9. What I do like is the engineering of the Nissan, it looks like it's making a ton of torque since it has a lower numerical axle ratio, 3.35 vs 3.92 for the Ram.
I think it's a very good job by the engineers but It's pretty much played out and the Hemi is just has so much more potential. The Nissan is a nice effort though.

I have to respect Nissan in that they came into a market they knew nothing about and produced a truck that many people love. Now the question is, is this like the elections seemed to be (people who like Bush Vs. people who hate Bush, haha). Are there American owners (Dodge, Chevy, Ford) Vs. People who hate American Companies (Nissan owners)?
Nissan did a good job coming in, poking its head around, and seeing what Americans wanted: big trucks, V8's, and speed. The Titan has all of those. In the end I think it comes down to whatever you like IMO.

ORIGINAL: mopartodd

I've been wanting to run one. Well today at lunch I had one pull up to me at the light. I actually knew the guy driving so I pointed down the road and he gave me the nod. When the light changed it didn't take long. Before the next light I pulled in front of him to exit onto another road. Well he came up on me and tried hanging with me in the turn, but I didn't bother since I was right behind another car. Well we dump out on the street and I wait to see him coming then hammered it. Again it didn't long. He gave up after that. Further down the road he pulled along side me at the light and gave me a [sm=smiley20.gif], which I returned.

Bull ****

using a quote, "just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...". Hipnotic appears....

I agree with BadstratRT, just show us a real time slip from the track, its that simple.... and stop the bad-a$$ BS..... I have street raced 2 titans, short lights, and got them both, not by much but enuff, but thats ok too... maybe when I go to the track next time there will be one ther to try.... I will PROMISE TO let you know personally, and even send you an e-mail.....so have a nice day and crawl back under your surfboard.......

Todd, maybe he WILL come to NC.... love to meet him, LOL..............................
