I usually beat my buddy in his JDM spec B15 vtec delSol. It's pretty much stock besides intake, about 135 at the crank, w/ 5spd. That thing is quick, but the D launches really well, when it hooks up. I got 4.7L w/ 3.55 rearend.
I also got a few hundred pounds over my rear end compared to your dak. If you can get it tohook up, I think it'll be a close race.

Yeah I have a friend who drove some POS saturn in highschool and his grandpa died and left him his powerstroke. I also have a friend that I have known since I was in 1st grade and his dad died when we were in 11th grade and left him his 03 hemihis harley his wake boarding boat his dirtbikeshis built *** 80's chevy for 4wheeling andhis 03 z06 vette along with a few hundred grand grand and a house. People say he's so lucky to have that stuff until they find out how he got it.

your 3.9L looks really good, even got the rims I wanted.
I sitll say that if you can get the 4.7 to hook up off the line, and the civs mods arent too extensive, like 150@ crank or less, you can take him. Also, the civ auto or man? If its auto you shouldn't have much to worry about, he won't get the jump off the line.
