2015 1500 ST 4x4 EcoDiesel

Hello fellow ECODIESEL enthusiasts.

I am loving my truck.
I had filled the tank and wanted to test out how far the truck can go.
At this time I am at 938KMs and the KTE is 138kms.

I will so hit the 1000kms mark tomorrow.

That would convert to 621 miles in this tank.

I love the fact that I beat the window sticker at 8.8l/100km or 32 mpg.

I am ordering my cap for the truck. Can't wait to see the difference in fuel economy.

Cap should help for another mpg or two.

I'm actually getting spoiled by diesel fuel economy myself, even though I don't get near what you do. Still, I can get close to 24 MPG on the open road out of my 8000# pig which equates to about 750 miles on my larger tank. With normal daily use, I can usually go about 550 miles between fill ups.

I had fully intended to at least level the front and going to 35" tires, but this fuel economy really has me second guessing that move...

Hammer, I have the 25 gallon tank. And right now the fuel prices in Canada are very close between diesel and gas.

So far my best average is 8.3lts to 100kms.

I love it.

Alright so a little bump in the road for me today. I travelled my usual way to work, no problem. When I was done the job I did the regular thing with the truck, as soon as I turned a corner the truck was jumpy, litterally jumpy is the only way I can describe how it felt. at 2000 rpm it was like the engine fied and as the rpm went down it came back up ...over and over....I was lucky I was 2 blocks away from the dealer....they took a look and said it was a defective ECU....they are going to replace it on Monday so I am driving a minivan right now.........crap. But I still love my truck.

Well these EcoDiesel threads are fun and lively...

Just got a 2015 RAM EcoDiesel with 88K on it. Spent it's whole life in Canada, and I'm the first American Owner.

I'm sucking up all the knowledge I can right now. Mainly looking into the Blue DEF and whether it needs to be BLUE (as in Peak's Version).

As far as drivability, I'm getting 20MPG city driving. Super happy about that.

I traded in my last RAM (HEMI) in 2014, this is my first post since.

621 miles. I wonder how hard those are to prime when you run them out of fuel?
