My new "TOY"

This is my new "TOY". This will be my next project.. my other one will be put on hold. The top will be removed and replaced with sheet metal to make it resemble a pickup truck. This is actually a Plymouth Trailduster. I have not seen to many of them around here where I am from.
It has a sweet running little 318 in it with a 4 speed trans.

Any suggestions on what to do to this rig to make it a great trail rig? That is why I bought it......to play on the trails.

RE: My new "TOY"

I bought a new 1975 TrailDuster with a 440. I never got stuck so often in my life! I was quite embarrassed getting stuck in the middle of Boyne City in the middle of a street. What I was learning the hard way is that fat tires are not good in snow. Therefore, the one thing I suggest for you is to use TALL tires with decent width but avoid fat ones. You cannot use skinny tires for mud and have to arrive at a balance, but you NEED TALL!!!!!!!!! Your springs are probably soft. Replace them with BIGGER, HeavyDuty springs and maybe some coil-over shocks, too. John R Spring, in Madison Heights?Michigan has the right stuff.
