i remember reading that Don Howard ran 12s in his 1g as well, with a pacesetter header too. dont know if he ever got it below 12s tho...

id highly stress on changing the head bolts (theyre a stretch design, so its not recommended to reuse them) which will cost an additional $35 US...

have you reset the ecu to see if it made any change?

yup, a loose/bad gas cap can bring up that...

eh, the intake is still in the front and exhaust in the rear, just like in the neon.
however, you cannot use the stratus intake manifold in the neon.. you have to use the 2.0 dohc neon intake...

the neon WILL have problems when using platinum plugs. try a search on neons.org to see just how many have had platinum plugs erode.

ugh. turbos dont NEED lower compression. theyre just easier to tune with lower compression.

besides, 9.8:1 isnt really high compression anyways. how many 1g neons on the same compression have...

are you sure its getting too much voltage? you are getting the "voltage too high" code?

the neon DOES have a voltage regulator.. however, its internal with the ecu.

id like to state that even correctly gapped, the platinum plugs will still have problems with the neon. it has to do with the design of the ignition system on the neon rather than the plug and wire...
