RE: Light coming on-1991 Stealth

Yeah, that light fools everyone. That's your windshield washer fluid indicator. If you have enough washer fluid, it's probably the sensor.

RE: burnin oil and oil pressure

Smoking at a stop light... ah, that sounds all to familiar. Lots of us 3S owners know that story. It's your valve stem seals. Replacing those will eliminate the smoke.

RE: 3.0 SOHC Intake Availabilty

Both SOHC and DOHC use the same MAF sensor so the K&N would work fine. I used to have a base model Stealth and had no problems using the K&N. You will, however, need an adapter since the stock MAF...

RE: Coil Pack

Unfortunately Mistubishi doesn't sell individual coil packs. You'll need to get the entire plate with all three coils.

RE: Engine knock on startup when extremely cold

You may want to try an oil with a better cold weather viscosity. What weight are you using now? During the cold winter months, it can get between 20-30 degrees where I live. I usually switch to 5W30...

RE: yes or no?

There are plenty of aftermarket parts available for the DOHC. Check out the stickys in the forum. As far as your concern about the car being slow... you didn't test drive it yet did you? If you buy...

RE: performance chip

If you're looking to improve gas mileage, a 3000GT or Stealth probably isn't the car for you. The SOHC models get better mileage than the DOHC NA and TT, but gas efficiency isn't the car's strong...

RE: performance chip

Don't do it! Possibly one of the biggest scams on Ebay. Adds 60HP and 20MPG?? For $9?? Like the old addage says, if it sounds too good to be true... it probably is.

RE: i need a white front fender!

Some jerk pulled out in front of me last month and I ended up t-boning him. So here's the bad news: front fenders are on national back order. That means hard to get your hands on 'em. If you can't...

RE: ECU Question

Mass Air Flow Sensor. It's inline between your air filter and intake pipe. The ECU uses it to measure the amount of air going into your engine.

RE: hatch options

The rear hatch should be the same whether Stealth or 3000GT. Just bear in mind you'll probably lose your rear defogger with a carbon hatch. Also, it may or may not come with the rear window glass and...

RE: DOHC 24 Valve

Yes, that's correct. Only the base model Stealth is SOHC, a base 3000GT is DOHC. It was a Dodge thing, wanting to keep the price down for that model.

RE: DOHC 24 Valve

As far as the value goes, maybe. If the windows were damaged and replaced it's possible. Another possibility is for some unknown reason, the DOHC stickers were put on the windows. Either way, yes...

RE: DOHC 24 Valve

Well if yours does look like that, then yes, it is a SOHC. The valve cover and intake plenum are dead give aways. When you get home and look at your engine and they look different than the pic, you...

RE: Sloppy Shifter

Yes, I realize they are different. But if we're talking about replacing bushings such as the 4 rubber ones that support the assembly... these should be the same for manual or automatic.

Yeah, for sure. An automatic will kill it for sure. Getting the HP to the wheels... knock off anywhere from 40-60HP for an automatic. But I found after getting out of first, it'd race through the...
