RE: There's gotta be more power here...

Well, found one definate problem. The cats are plugged almost solid. I'll hollow those out. That should help a ton.

RE: CHRYSLER SOLD!!!!!!

Sadly I think we could see the end of some of our performance products now. Not that they have really been selling that well anyway, but from an enthusiast's point of view it's kind of a bummer....

Here's a company that's been doing the same thing for awhile, as well as installing HEMI engines in the little buggers. http://www.aev-conversions.com/

There's gotta be more power here...

Grabbed a '99 2500 with a v10 for a good price. Seems to run fine, but I think there should be more power. Won't even power break the tires. With 10 cylinders and 8.0L, this doesn't seem quite right....

RE: V10 Power

Ok, well at least I know what to look for now. Thanks! It sounds like they just make a timing adjustment maybe. If that is the case, a better fix would seem to be just running a higher octane fuel.

V10 Power

I just picked up a '99 V10 2500 Short Box. It needs a little work but the price was right. One thing I wonder about is the power output. Let's say you start from a stop and just mash the throttle...

RE: 6.7 Driving Impressions

I have always thought the stacks were cool on the big diesel trucks. I hear that modifications to the exhaust on this truck are going to be a bit of a pain though, due to the backpressure sensors.

RE: 6.7 Driving Impressions

Oh, another note. For some this will be a good thing. For me personally it's bad, but I'm more performance oriented. Anyway, this thing is VERY quiet for a diesel.

6.7 Driving Impressions

I drove a 6.7 with the 6spd Auto today, and I have to say that I'm pretty darned impressed with it. I know that the power ratings are not that muchhigher than those of the 5.9, but the truck feels...

RE: HEMI, Stacking Chips

Well they both have timing adjustments built in to their programs, so that would probably be a problem, uless you could use the superchips just for adjusting shift points and what not, but I dunno...

HEMI, Stacking Chips

I know this works on diesel trucks, and I have to wonder if if might work on a HEMI. A Jet chip for example is a piggy back style unit sitting between the ECM and the harness, while a Superchips unit...

JET Chip on HEMI

I just put the Jet Performance chip on my HEMI today. It makes a pretty big difference, really wakes it up a lot. It seems to make a much bigger or more noticable differance if the Tow/Haul mode is...
