It sounds like there is a bad connection someplace.

Did you recently fill up with fuel? If so, did this issue begin shortly...

Its got to be a vacuum leak.... I know when its not plugged in then OD does not work at all. So it sounds like it builds vacuum but as soon as the RPMs go down it bleeds of and does not build it fast...

I'm happy you where able to figure it out... That camshaft timing pin has even thrown me for a loop in the past... It can be a booger because everything will look fine until you pull the sprocket off...

The 2006 engine will only run on a NGC 4-Plug PCM because it has the 32-tooth tone ring on it.

The reason he is braking the 2006 engine down is because it has the NGC tone ring on the crankshaft....

Thats why he changed the tone rings. Otherwise if he swapped both the 2006 engine and pcm/harness there would be no need to...

No thats not the case. And from what I understood he is still using his 2002 PCM and swapped out his Crank tone ring and passengers side Cam Sprocket tone ring... The PCM will not know the difference...

As long as you used your 02 Cam & Crank tone rings it should fire right up with no issues...

So this leads me to beleive something was not right.

Check your cams and make sure the Cam Pins...

RPMs alone do NOT dictate fuel economey... its the load on the engine at any given RPM...
