Default 00 1500 Installed Remote Starter cant get door locks to work

hi
has anyone done on a 2000 1500 truck the remote car starter install
i get it to start truck fine... but i did the Door locks you hear it click but it doesnt work i used a relay and a Type C door relay setup but i still havent gotten it to work
but the factory remote can unlock and lock the doors fine

if anyone has done it pics would be good as my remote starter uses -negative lines to acuate so i guess its a postive system

Does the remote start have separate relays for the doors or is it an add on? Relay(s) need to supply power to the lock solenoids. It depend on the remote starter you have where it getting the power and how it's wired. Does this help?

hey
yes and no it helps i know someone had a remote starter in truck before i had it and i was trying to get there relays to work

ya its powered from the remote starter 30 amp fuse

and the remote starter as a -neg wire for lock and unlock so u gotta use a relay with them

i found another page saying Type C Type A for the lock unlock and if it has a JBS system on board lock relay etc i get confused lol
and another says Alert/shelby units is the alert the panic button on my remote
