Coil spring spacers on front of Ram 3500
There are several companies offering 1.5" to 3" coil spring spacers for the front end. Has anybody tried this mod? I'm hoping to lift the front end a bit as it never really was level, but has now sagged even more. The van was ordered with the heavy duty front end so I doubt there are bigger springs available.

If the springs are sagging I would look at putting in new HD springs. Adding spacers would help for a short time but the current springs are weak and if they are rusty could break at any time. Is the van overloaded? If over loaded then look at lightening the load to within the GVWR rating that is posted on the drivers door jam.

If the van is sagging that much - the springs are shot.
I just replaced mine. You can have any coil made you want. I had a manufacture in MO do my fronts. They are fantastic. There are several different springs and rates for these van and I was able to find the correct HD spring from my Elk conversion. The rears are made right here in Dubois PA, so if you want the info on them or both, just let me know. I could not find either OEM or stocked aftermarket for my van. They have to be made.
Front and rears were about 600. Then i had a friend put them in for 400. WOW what a difference. The van raised 1.5 inches in the front and about 2 inches in the back. It drives so much different and nicer now. I did put the 2500 springs in the rear, which has an extra leaf over the old OEM ones.

I put 1 1/2 inch spacers on a 99 for a while to see how it rode and how I liked it that high before pulling the trigger on a much more in depth upgrade... It rode fine, was a couple inches higher and fit up to 285/70/R16 tires (on 16 inch rims) with only a slight rub...265/75/R16 didn't rub at all.
