Default Lifting the 3G Durango

Looking at lifting the Durango...just not satisfied with the minivan height. Anyone have any experience with this? I work on my JK all the time but the Durango is a different beast. I found the following lift and upper control arms, hoping for a bit of input for a bolt-on kit.

Also, if anyone has any pics of a 2.5 lift with factory tires and wheels would be great.

Thinking about going with this kit.

I would prefer the 2.5" lift, but the wife isn't to crazy about picking up the kids an extra 2 inches to put them in the car. This should give the Durango a more truck like appearence without spending a lot of money. any thoughts?

The link is for a wk2 lift, but they claim it works on the Durango just the same. Benefit of the jeep and durango being so similar.

Be the first to do it! I would like to see at least 1 person here with a lifted 3rd Gen D.

So has anyone tried this leveling kit from Rocky Road? I would love to see some photos if anyone has done it.

I may just give it a go soon as I'm dying to lift the front end up a couple inches, nothing drastic. The D looks great as is but can't stand when I'm parking and the front end can't clear the edge of the curb (painful).

Not to mention, the front plastic fascia can't hold up too well as a snowplow....

I've gotten the leveling kit from tuff country. It has a shim for the top of the strut and a preload spacer for the spring. I ended up using the shim and a second set i made for 1/2 inch towards level. Didn't want to change the front suspension handling.

So the nose is still 1/2 lower than the rear? That sounds like just about enough of leveling to avoid scraping curbs
