Question Odometer not working....JUST the Odometer..Solution??

Hey all.....
Long time listener...first time caller....lol

Anywayy.....
Heres the deal....2005 RAM 1500 HEMI Sport....few months ago, the odometer(digital screen) went out...then a day or so later came back on....then a few times while driving, the odometer lights (just the odo lights/display) started dimming....then got brighter (regular brightness).
Was fine for a week or so....then it went out again...then came back on a day later while still accumulating proper milage....
Now its been out for about a week..

All else in the truck (lights, door locks, etc) and rest of the gauge cluster work....just the odometer screen (that shows odo, "lamp out", etc...) wont light up / display anymore.
Speedo is fine, Tach is fine...all other lights, etc.

Anyone else experienced this phenomenon???

All fuses seem OK, is there a common problem with this or is there some area (wiring, connectors, plugs, etc) that I should be looking at / for??

Is the whole gauge cluster shot? Orrrrrr....can just the odometer screen/module/doo-hicky be replaced???
I can get a used cluster....but of course, concerned about the milage on it....

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like a loose wire or bad solder joint. Never had a cluster out, but I would look in to pulling it and giving a good visual, checking connections, pin seating, etc.

Odometer not working....JUST the Odometer..Solution??

I have a 2004 ram 1500 5.7 engine and the exact thing is wrong with my odometer screen also. EVERYTHING else except what is inside that odometer window works perfectly. I have tested all fuses. I have removed cluster and tested connector pins and looked for bad solder joints. found nothing. Put all back together, still the same.
Have you corrected yours yet??? Would you share what you have done and have found???
Thanks
