Default 1990 W250 tire size

Wondering if anyone has a recommendation on sizing up my tires. I'm running stock 16" wheels, with stock 235/85/16 tires.

I've heard that I can go a bit wider on the stock wheels (maybe 265/75/16). Wanting to know your thoughts... has anyone gone bigger/wider on stock wheels and suspension?

Thanks!

I have a friend with a 1984 who went for 255/85/16. He has the 4 speed manual, so no overdrive. He liked them for going down the highway, but there's not much availability in that size

Wheels have a recommended maximum tire size. 265's should work fine on the 6.5" wide wheel that your truck probably has, but anything wider and you'll definitely need to upgrade to a wider wheel.
