Default K/N Air Filter

Has anyone bought the K/N Air Filter that attaches directly to the throttle body? Does it give good air flow and is it worth the cost?

1) It can, but it sucks from under the hood, so actual power output can be reduced by a small bit.

2) Not in my opinion; your car ALREADY has a cold air intake. Notice where the snorkel comes from. And then open the hood when the motor's been running and see how hot the air is where the cone style filter will be pulling from ...

Definitely not worth the cost for the reasons stated above. Aftermarket intakes are good for 2 things: under hood bling and noise. If you insist, get a cheap CAI from amazon or ebay. They all do the same thing.

Is there any way to permanently attach the flexible hose to the metal part? As you can see, the zip tie does a poor job and it keeps sliding down into that position.

Velcro....wrap the air cleaner with the loop side, and the inside of the intake channel with the fuzzy side.
