Default Ball joint help

I'm in the middle of rebuilding my front suspension and these upper ball joints do not thread in tight. Is this normal? I added some red lock tight and peened the sleeve they thread in to. Will this be ok?

I was able to get a decent crank on it after peening the threads. But before I could tighten it until it would brake loose again with just my hand

I wouldn't trust it if it won't tighten up. Have access to a welder? Some people have spot welded the upper joints to the control arm to secure them.

Lock Tite with the peened sleeve seems to have done the trick can't even turn it in the vice now that it has set up. I'll put a couple tack welds on it for the extra insurance. Hopefully I won't have to change these again this thing is going to really be locked in there. In hindsight I probably would have been better off just doing the tack welds but I didn't think of that.

make sure you grease it really well if you tack welded it. i would recommend greasing till the old stuff purges out.
