2007 Dodge Durango. I was told to change the fan clutch to fix my ac issue. Well I did, then I notice the car is taking too long to change gear. I acelerate and hear this loud noise car moves but doesn't develope like before. I have to seat there for good 10 minutes sometimes. Once I star running the car eventually change gear. The guy who change the fan said has nothing to do with it. I took it to a mechanic and he said everything was fine. But I know my car and is not fine.. Any good ideas. Thanks

 

I recently changed mine as well. I installed a heavy duty clutch fan. After start up and going down the road I can hear the fan and it takes a little longer to change gears. After a couple of minutes the fan sounds normal and the shifts are fine. If I let it warm up for a few minutes before taking off, everything is normal. This might not help you out much, just sharing my experience.

 

without driving it; its hard to say over the internet...but the vehicle does has a shift strategy to delay upshifts untill the trans fluid is up to temp. does it shift normal after the coolant is at 80*C

 

Honestly I have never paid attention to the temp gauge.
