96 1500 Automatic RWD with 5.2

ABS light is on as well as brake light. In addition, brake lights aren't working.

Fuse is fine. I tested the two wires to the brake switch plug and there's no power showing.

What should I check next?

Grab the service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W. Find out where the power is supposed to be coming from, and why you don't have it where it should be.
