Default Cross County?!

My dad gave me his 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 just before he passed. It has just over 200k miles on it. He owned it for over 15 years and took great care of it, the engine is super clean. I am wondering it ya'll think the truck will make it from South Carolina to Utah towing a motorcycle in the bed of the truck and a small U-Haul trailer? I don't want to get 3 states away and start having trouble with it. Thoughts?! Thanks in advance!

Yep, give it a good inspection, fix anything obvious, drive it around town some, and if all seems well, off ya go.

welcome to DF!

I've driven cross-country over 2 dozen times. I take road trips twice a year from WA to MN or IL and back to see family.

These trucks were made for the hwy. I always get frustrated around town with lack of power, noises, issues, etc. but once I get on the open road, she just cruises like a caddy. I'm at 224k daily driven.

Just be sure and keep the OD off if you end up towing the trailer.
