Default No power, to anything

The title is a little deceptive... I do have 4 ways, thats it. Just redid the steering shaft. Put it all back together and now there is no power to anything at all. I only can get the flashers to come on. No dome, headlights, breaklights, nothing when i turn the key.
I checked and there is power from the battery to the starter and to the grounds. I wiggled all the wiring i could along the drivers inner fender. Don't know where to look next. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Did you have to move the PDC (power distribution center) to access the steering shaft? Does your truck even have one??

Any major junction blocks in the area? Did you unbolt the steering column at all?

There are a few power or ground connectors. I know a few of those have clips that break off and the cable comes apart. The connectors are white and are near the steering shaft area. Next, I would get a multimeter and check the fuses and see what has power and what doesn't.

I did not touch anything except the battery itself. I removed it for swinging room. Otherwise, nothing was touched. I did check for power at the bottom end of the cables to make sure it wasn't a connection issue with the terminals.
the pdc did appear to have power at the main terminals when checking back against the battery. (Each terminal at the pdc to the opposite terminal on the battery. +pdc to -batt and -pdc to +batt).
next thing I plan to do is pull the bulkhead on the firewall and clean and check the contacts in it.

Crazy, you posted as I did. I saw those connectors. One is broken and was taped together so I pulled them apart and made sure they were together good and tight.

I did think about checking fuses for power but I was running out of light and frankly I needed to walk away anyway. Tomorrow I'll check it out.

I got the truck to crank by jumping the solenoid wire to the main power on the starter.
Checking fuses I saw no power. I pulled the bulkhead at the firewall... I'm even more confused. I know how to use a dvom but boy was I second guessing myself.
All of the larger terminals were showing ground from what I read. Probe on the positive side of battery to the terminal on the bulkhead showed 12v, Negative side of the battery to terminal at bulkhead showed nothing.... I don't get it? Am I missing something here? There was also one (smaller) terminal that was hot (pointing at it in the pic). All the others showed no power.

I unraveled the tape on the harness to the PDC and saw nothing particularly out of the ordinary.

next step?

Taking a look in this pdf from the FAQ thread, if 94 is the same as 93 for wiring I found the only logical source of my issue.... If someone could double check my logic, I'd appreciate it: Page 24- Fig. 20: Power Distribution Circuit (1 of 4)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzA...lCaF84MnM/view

So it looks there are 3 hots off the battery. One is to the starter, one is oddly run through the PDC to be fused then directly to the flasher unit separate from all other circuits, and the 3rd is the primary hot feed for the electrical system. Since I have power to the starter as evidenced by jumping the solenoid, and there is clearly power to the flashers as they are the only thing that works in the truck right now, I must have an issue with the main electrical feed to the PDC.
Looks like tomorrow's first job will be checking for power along that feed from the battery into the PDC and potentially jumpering the PDC direct from the battery to verify that fixes the issue.

Check fuse C, 40amp, in the PDC.

I will be sure to check that fuse, however I believe that would only affect the key on accessories, not including headlights and brake lights.

So thanks to that schematic, I found the issue... one of the leads came off from the terminal, presumably during the beating to remove the steering shaft, and once i hooked it up, all was well. Never would have found it though since it slid down into the loom. I had to go digging for it once I noticed only 2 wires were connected instead of 3.
Thanks for the help guys!
