Broken manifold bolts one month after repair
I have a 2010 1500 5.7 truck. It's got less than 60,000 miles on it. Unfortunately the bolts on the manifold keep breaking. I just had two replaced 40 days ago that cost $600 and it's back to leaking already. Should the mechanic just replace the manifold all together? This is getting quite expensive.

And they should use better bolts..... you would think they would be able to figure that out........

the studs and maybe the labour should be covered under parts warranty.
they fail due to the design of the manifold. the holes in the manifold are to small...the heads heat expand and contract...the head shears the bolt flush with the manifold. chevy had the same problem and fixed it with updated manifold. Better studs kits help. headers would be my fix
