Default Rear Climate Control

I have a 2012 Dodge Journey and the rear Climate Control only blows out cold air with the heat on.

Hi Roy Barton,

This is not what we hope to hear from our customers. We recognize that at this time you are looking for feedback from other forum members. However, if you do wish to visit a dealership regarding your HVAC system, we would be more than happy to offer our assistance. Feel free to send us a private message at any time.

2013 dodge journey crew and 55000. This seems to be a recurring issue is there a reason dodge has not made an announcement about it. Just paid $600.00 to have rear heater core replaced and flushed. Heat only blows when rpm is high on engine.

The actuators that control the temperature get stuck in Journeys. Find the actuator for the rear temperature and hit it while somebody slowly changes the temp from hot to cold and back until it starts blowing the correct temp. If this doesn’t work, the actuators are pretty inexpensive at Advance Auto. Order online for a discount. Good luck, don’t pay the dealership for this.
