In Search of 1.7 Rockers - Magnum V6
Hello. I'm new to this forum and I've been really interested in Daks. I've been looking into performance for the Magnum V6 and I've read that dodge Viper 1.7 rockers are a good mod compared to the 1.6. I've looked around but they seem to be hard to find. Does anybody know where I could find any for a decent price? All I've come across are high performance ones for the viper, but they're expensive, only come with a full set for 10 cyl., and wouldn't they allow too much lift for the 3.9?

You can probably find a set that will fit the 3.9 for a lot cheaper. After all, it's just a magnum v-8 with the front two cylinders chopped off. So, roller rockers for a 5.2 or 5.9 engine will bolt right in as well. (with a much higher chance of actually working right.) Harland Sharp makes 1.7 roller rockers for the magnum, that are direct bolt-in replacements. They run in the neighborhood for 400 bucks these days, for the V-8's..... Might check Summit, or Jegs, and see if they actually sell them for the 6......

I was reading some old threads and people were saying how they got a full set from Chrysler for 100 bucks, a lot has changed in just several years. And the Harlands cost about the same price as OE, so I might as well go for those. Unless someone has some lying around they'd be willing to sell

The general cost of rocker arms went up a lot, could it be because of the process for making them? I found a set on eBay for 200 bucks, but the part # comes up as a set for a big block chevy. They still provide lift of 1.7 and have a 7/16" stud. Do you think I could maybe get those to work?
