Default rear end differential on my 2012 ram 1500 Laramie Limited 4wd

I am trying to figure out what me rear end differential is on my 2012 ram 1500 Laramie limited. More importantly I am trying to figure out the max weight trailer I can tow. Yhanks

Moved to the 4th gen Ram section. What engine do you have? That information is critical in determining your towing capacity. This might help you.

Thanks, I used the link, entered my vin and recvd my results 8350. wish it was a couple hundred pounds more.

Look at the factory sticker in the glove box for build information.
Look at the vehicle sticker on the driver's door for GVW information.

on our 2011 lone star 1500 we can tow up to "MAX TOWING 10200.0 LBS" with a weight distribution hitch. A dead weight hitch, without WD, is much less at 5k pounds. regardless, I would be hesitant to get near 8k pounds for safety reasons on a half ton truck. The max i am willing to go is 7k. our 24 foot RV is Approx. 6000 loaded and i feel confident pulling/handling this load.
