Default Oil pressure light

On my way to work my check engine light came on. Noticed oil pressure gauge was at 0 before i could get off road onto berm truck shut off and will not start. Engine will not crank at all is motor seized up or is there a low pressure switch that shuts the truck down. I have allways changed oil in this truck every 5,000 miles motor has 92.000 miles on it. Motor before it shut off was not making any odd noises what so ever no rod knock nothing to forwarn of low oil pressure. My truck is a 2000 dodge sport 1/2 ton with the 318 motor in it think they call this motor the 5.7 now. Yes I am old school dodge fan Thank you in advance.

Take off the serpentine belt, see if the engine will crank.

Give it a shot, and see what happens. If it cranks, it will likely start...... don't run it long, just see if oil pressure comes up. if it doesn't in like 30 seconds or so, shut it down.
