Hey everyone.. I need to change my oil pump.. Does anyone have a link to a tutorial showing the steps needed.. i know i need to access the pump from behind the timing cover but do i also have to drop the oil pan to get the pump out?

It should be possible to remove the oil pump without pulling the oil pan. Only problem i see is the oil sump needs undolted and moved down. I would recomment pulling the oil pan off tho. Not that much more work to do and if your oil pump failed then it wouldnt hurt to inspect the sump screen and check your rods for play. Would also replace the timing chain since you will be removing it. Just be happy its not a 4.7. Easy job on the hemi
