Default 1995 Dodge V10/47 RH shift points

Hello,

I just purchased a '95 V10 with the 47RH truck with 227,000 miles. (Wasn't really looking for an automatic or that many miles but the truck is really clean and the price was right.)

The trans has supposedly been rebuilt at some point, and does feel like it has a shift kit, but it was done by an even earlier owner with no paperwork. The only thing that seems a little odd is that at WOT, the 1-2 shift is only at 3,500 RPM. Is this normal for the V10s?

Thanks,

Mike

Well, the V-10 redlines at like 4500 RPM...... so, one would expect it to not hang onto gears real long, but, 3500 seems a bit low....... You might want to check TV cable adjustment, make sure there isn't any slop in the cable......
